World's Fair Wheel

This giant Ferris Wheel was erected at the southern end of the Victoria Dock at the end of April 2009, and it operated until 16 August. The wheel was 110ft high with 24 gondolas, each capable of carrying six passengers, and it rotated at 2.6 revolutions per minute.

Visitors travelling on the wheel saw some spectacular views of the docks and warehouses, including this view along the Victoria Dock marina.

An unusual view of the Lock Warehouse.
